Hi folks! I am Saurabh (Srivastava). I belong to Basti (UP), but due to job responsibilities I am presently based in Bijnor. I am a development worker by profession. I have done my Masters in Social Work with specialization in Community Development. I have been closely associated with the giant players and grass-root implementer of this sector. I have worked on different assignments with the SENSE, UNDP, ActionAid, SightSavers, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, JHPIEGO, Futures Group, WHO, Hindustan Latex and other national & international not-for-profit organizations. Besides, I have been actively involved in training and capacity building of NGOs, volunteers, communities and other stakeholders in Uttar Pradesh & Bihar. I like innovating, and to my credit are various works like publication of first Braille Disaster Management Manuals in India, establishment of first Emergency Operation Center in Uttar Pradesh and Mainstreaming Disability Issues in Disaster Management in Uttar Pradesh.

I have a passion for arts and theater. I have been affiliated with Indian People’s Theatre Association for the last 20 years. I have directed  plays- Ek tha Gadha urf Aladad Khan, Adhi Raat ke Baad, Andher Nagri, Samrath ko Nahi Dosh Gosai, Bhagata Gata Jaa, Kaamdhenu etc and written scripts for a number of plays and films. I promote voluntarism among the youth through active participation. Besides IPTA, I am associated with Gorakhpur Film Society, Basti Film Society, Basti Vikas Samiti and other various social/cultural outfits.
